Other Programs
Hanover Area Child ID: This program provides kits with instant current photo and DNA information in case of a missing child report. Time is very important in these cases. Photos can be quickly posted in Amber Alert broadcasts. Several Child ID Events are scheduled throughout the year and are advertised through the local media.
Crime Prevention Notice: A crime prevention program where patrols monitor residential conditions such as open garage doors where contents are exposed. Police will also spot items on property that pose a threat for theft. Green “hang-tags” are discretely placed when exposures exist. Homeowner’s are asked to secure possessions noted on tag. The Crime Prevention Program Notice is for your safety and security, and helps deter residential theft.
College Prep Internship: The Conewago Twp Police Department is active in support of college students in their endeavors in pursuing a career in law enforcement. Often schools require students to perform an internship/scheduled ride-a-long with an officer as part of their accredited course. After review of course requirements, students accompany our officers, learning the police functions of the Department.
